I had been looking forward to this trip since last year.

I had never bought so many things in just 4 days, not even during my previous trip to China.

Day 1:

At Bangkok's airport with Angelia

Missing Karen was taking the photo for us

Standing beside Karen made me look even fatter -_-"

We were staying at Twin Tower Hotel.
The room was spacious & clean!

Nice bathroom with a great bathtub.
I had onsen (hot spring) twice in that bathtub, hee hee.

Lobby & reception of Twin Tower .
The staff had poor command of English.
One of them couldn't explain "opposite" & had to draw a picture to explain. By the way, it is a four stars hotel.

Isn't it beautiful?

In order to save money for more useful purposes, we took a tuk-tuk.
Ha ha, yes!!! Six of us in a small tuk-tuk!!!
It was such an unforgettable experience!

Our memorial photo of the exciting tuk-tuk ride.

Day 2:

On the second day, we spent most of our time in this cheap market
- The Chatuchak Weekend Market.
The weather was hot & the market was stuffy!
Couldn't remember how much water we drank & luckily we brought some on our own.

To cool ourselves, we went for a cooling ice grass jelly dessert!
The brown topping was brown sugar actually & they eventually ended up in the dustbin.

The hot & stuffy but cheap Chatuchak market.

I love this section of the market.
The animal's section!!!
This poor rabbit was caged in a small caged which it barely can move.
Sobs...Sobs...

They were made to wear clothes in addition to their fur, the heat is killing them...I guess.
Cruelty!

So many cute puppies for sale!
However, I discovered that some of the owners were very rough in handling their puppies.
Poor puppies...

Isn't this puppy cute!!!
I can't remember the exact name of this breed but I always
call this breed "Jian Gou" due to one of the anime I used to watch had this type of dog.

Sleepy puppies...Zzzz

After a tired day at Chatuchak, We went to experience the Thai massage & foot reflexology.
It was not too bad.
We walked away without giving tips! Ha ha

Day 3:

We shopped almost the whole day at Platinum.
Didn't even have time for Pratunum Centre.
Saw the busy road? Scary!

Kinda like this candid shot of Karen.
Opps! Will she scold me when she saw I posted this?

Isetan! Made me feel like I'm back in Singapore when I stepped in.
We bought so many things in the NaRaYa's Boutique in there.

A group photo which I asked a tourist to help us to take.
Hmmm...too tiny, isn't it?

We had a slightly more expensive meal to reward ourselves at
Jim Thompson.
The ambience was not too bad.

Nicely decorated coconut drink.
Cooling ~~!

My food!
I couldn't remember its name.

This is what Clairer ate.
Ha ha.. I couldn't remember its name either

This is Pat Thai.
Not too bad but still not better than the Pat Thai we ordered from room service.

Tiramisu!!!
Yummy!!!

Apple tart if I'm not wrong.
We chose a tart with more filling but the waitress insisted that this was the one we pointed.
Useless to argue with her.

Hmmm... I'm getting older & older each day.
Brain cells died faster these days.
Memory cells too.
I really couldn't remember what its name.
SORRY!!
However.....
I remember.....
it is

YUMMY!!!

Day 4:

Very busy day! No time to take photos at all.
We had our schedule tightly planned.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we went to do last minute shopping at MBK.
Bought big bag of goodies, most of them were pork floss.
After that we went straight back to hotel to pack & check out.

However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were being delayed from our plan.
The reception had checked us out despite we had requested late check out. My friends had to ran down to the reception there to reactivate the access cards of our rooms.

Time wasted!!!

My door card access machine ran out of batteries!!!
I believe not many people will encounter this kind of situation!!!
Not many people know the machine uses batteries too!!!!!

Time wasted again!!!

By the time we packed and checked out, we were already late for our 2nd massage's appointment!

Leading to the massage ended later than we had planned & we had to get back to the airport to catch the airport transfer.

We waited for quite some time & finally we caught hold of a cab but unfortunately we were stucked in the traffic jam!

The traffic wasn't moving at all!!!

We missed the airport transfer, had to pay for the delay & cab fare straight to the airport, late check in leading to separate seatings.

The worst thing was, I was arranged to sit with ABN in front, beside and behind of me!!!
I'm very sensitive to the smell & the one behind kept pulling my hair!

IRRITATING!!!!!

Luckily, it was only a two hour flight or else I will go crazy.

Nevertheless, it was quite a fun but tiring trip.

A very good place to shop indeed!

A vacation is like love - anticipated with pleasure, experienced with discomfort and remembered with nostalgia

The long waited result has finally reached me.

I was expecting a negative result but surprisingly, I passed.

Not with flying colours, of course.

I was expecting a "failed", remember?!

Anyway, I'm glad that I was quite lucky in guessing the correct answers...

one new JLPT 3 cert will be added to my collection.

On my way up up up to JLPT 2!

1 more day left for 2007.

Looking back at 2007, the only achievement that I can slightly proud of is ....

I have graduated with a Degree!

That's all.

No fats burn.

Instead, as expected I gained more fats.

For the coming year 2008, I have decided 3 resolutions.

1) Firstly, as usual, burn my fats!!!!

2) Secondly, quickly find a career that has prospect & settle down.

3) Lastly, find my Martian.

Not that hard huh.

I really hope so.

Making resolutions is a cleansing ritual of self-assessment and repentance that demands personal honesty and, ultimately, reinforces humility. Breaking them is part of the cycle.”~ Eric Zorn

Lazy Casey is here again! Hee hee

Didn't update for sooooo long coz my lazy cells are so active for the past weeks.

Here's a latest news for everyone.

I'm quitting my current job & decided to go back to my ex-company which offered me

  1. a higher salary,
  2. longer working hour,
  3. more workload,
  4. lousier welfare,
  5. more expensive lunch,
  6. lousier lunch menu,
  7. further pickup point.

Only win one out of seven points!!!!

I'm soooo money minded..... Oh my!

Anyway, I'm only going back to work as a temporary staff to help them out.

But when can I find a permanent one to settle down????

Sigh~~~

Recently, I went to my poly-buddy's church wedding.
It was really touching when we saw her in tears thanking her family & those who are special to her & how her hubby was extremely elated to marry her!

Wishing these two wonderful people a happy life together, Congratulations!

After the event, I met up with Xian for KTV session & really sorry for making her wait for an hour!

As promised, these are the photos taken on Ah Zhen's birthday.

This is done by Karen. Very cute!
Must credit her or else she will charge me copyright fee... (-_-")

No photos on the desserts! Opps!

You go there & try them yourself!

Definitely worth the trip!

We know we're getting old when the only thing we want for our birthday is not to be reminded of it.

Have been quite busy recently.

This month is really a busy month for me.
I hope next month will be better but looking at my schedule book, I guess it will not be.

Just a quick update on what I had been doing.

Recently, I was busy revising for my japanese school tests.
Just these tests alone occupied so much of my time & it was finally over last Tuesday.

At the same time, I was busy going for interviews but none of them I was satisfied. Either the job scope was boring or the location was too inconvenient.

So, No Luck yet!

Last Thursday, I was invited to our company annual dinner at Suntec City. This year, the dinner was very special coz it's the company's 25th anniversary & the year that it received 2 prestigious awards.

Though I was invited but I wasn't entitled to get the door gifts which were a digital camera & a photo printer. *SOBS*

The reason was beacause I'm not its permanent staff! But didn't I contribute too????!!!

UNFAIR!!!!

These are some of the photos I took during the annual dinner.

These few days, I was busy revising for my upcoming JLPT on Dec 2.
Last minute revision!!! Hee hee..... Hope it helps!

I was also kinda busy clearing computer virus which was given as a gift from my friend. @#$&%#^$%^^~!#%^&*#&*~@

Yesterday I went to Royal Copenhagen Tea Lounge Restaurant to celebrate my buddy's belated birthday.

It was my first time to Royal Copenhagen Tea Lounge Restaurant.

We were served using exquisite hand painted Royal Copenhagen porcelains that are exclusively created for the Danish Royal Family!

I love its desserts... they were really YUMMY!!!
Will post up the photos once I got them.

Will be attending 2 wedding lunch/dinner & department dinner next month.
I'm looking forward for the monthly department's bonding session dinner at Ritz Carlton Hotel!

Sigh...

My brother knew I'll be sad if I look at these photos but he still sent them to me.

It's really sad but touching ~~~

A dog was seen in the middle of busy street caring for its friend, which had been hit by a car.
Using its paw, the dog tried to wake its already-dead friend....

The dog kept trying to push its dead friend out of the road.
When people tried to help, it barked and turned away whoever attempting to get near.

Even in heavy traffic, the dog just won't leave its friend.

Witnesses were touched that even an ordinary dog can be so loyal !

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. ~ Josh Billings

I'm so moody today.

Was craving for my hershey the whole day at work, knowing it will somehow cheer me up.

Just too bad that I didn't bring any to work.

Normally, these are the few things I will do if I feel moody.

1) The easiest way is to sleep! Nothing is more effective than waking up fresh.

2) Eat chocolate if I have it in my fridge. Chocolate can cheer me up!

3) Sit in front of my computer, turn on the volume & scream along with the songs. Not sing, it's SCREAM! Poor neighbours, I know.

4) Lastly, take out a pen and a piece of used paper and scribble hard in random manner... until you can't recognise it

5) Have yet to invent one. Maybe soon.

So far, they are effective for me! You can try it too! ^0^

I just did 2 & 3....

Certainly there are good and bad times, but our mood changes more often than our fortune ~ Jules Renard

Time flies.... My sis flew back to US yesterday morning.
Without noticing, she was already here for 3 weeks & I have been working for 1 month already.

Kinda miss her when I got home today. No more seeing her sitting on the blue sofa, watching Taiwan soap drama with my mum. The next time I'll see her will be with her little baby. ^0^

Anyway, I'm glad to know that she has reached home safely after such a long flight.

So far so good on my work. Maybe it's only 1 month or maybe my job doesn't have the stress or maybe it's because there's a motivator, I have yet to experience the "dragging myself to work" feeling. Though I am not doing anything important but up till now, everyone in my department is happy with my progress.

I'm really glad that I'm kinda useful but I'm yearning for more. I'm yearning for the sense of achievement which this job scope couldn't offer me (yet).

By the way, my company has achieved the JIPM award yesterday. When the auditing was carried out, it was such an eye opener. The auditor (Japanese) had a translator and a cameraman with him, it looked as though they were filming for a documentary film. I heard from my colleague that this award is really hard to achieve & not many companies in Singapore has achieved it.

Therefore, to celebrate this achievement, there'll be free lunch for everyone next week & I'm looking forward for it already! Yummy!!! That's what I like about MNC! It's NOT stingy to employees at all! You can see that too when you try to get stationery from the person-in-charge.

I got what I wanted INSTANTLY.

My motivator was on leave today... but the scenes where he kept stumbling near me filled up my dazing time at work. LOL !

Yes, not once but quite a few times over this 1 month & it happened twice yesterday. First time was when his hand knocked onto my partition *OUCH* while walking & second time was when he accidentally tripped onto something & almost fell down.

I find it so interesting to see a mature man who held such a high position in the company being so careless in his daily life!

He's still a human after all.

Eagles: When they walk, they stumble. They are not what one would call graceful. They are not designed to walk. They fly. And when they fly, oh, how they fly, so free, so graceful. They see from the sky what we never see.

My big brother held his solemnisation ceremony last sunday at Clarke Quay.

This is the area where the ceremony was held.
Isn't it nice & romantic?!!
Luckily the weather was exceptionally good.

This is my beautiful sister-in-law. ^^

I really love the view! Everyone too!

So sweet huh? After exchanging their rings, they exchanged gaze too!

Finally two new members are added to our Family Chart!

Yes, it's two.
You must have forgotten the little baby in my sister's womb, didn't you?

Our sister-in-law & us.

Happy Bride & Bridegroom live happily ever after.

"A wedding is a ceremony at which two persons undertake to become one, one undertakes to become nothing, and nothing undertakes to become supportable." ~ Ambrose Bierce

Didn't have time to update my blog as I was kinda tired after work though I didn't do anything much. Actually, just by waking up at 6.30am alone makes me extremely tired!

Am getting closer with my colleagues each day & having fun at my workplace so far. My manager & senior are trying means to make me stay longer. My manager even suggested in helping me to look out for eligible man over there to attract me to stay. Ha ha.

Getting to see my motivator everyday is one of the reasons that motivate me to go to work. He is an extremely charming charismatic mature man. It's so hard for me not to search & secretly peek at him! Hee hee...

Haven't have the courage to speak to him for the past weeks though we knew each other existence. I wonder did he discovered that I was always peeking at him coz finally, he spoke to me today! He asked for my name & I was surprised! My mind went blank for a few seconds & he thought I was hesitating so he asked me not to worry coz it was meant for good thing. Ha ha I didn't know he can be so humorous.

Anyway, don't misunderstood. He's not a young man though he looks young for his age & I believe he's married too.

By the way, my sister & brother are back to Singapore for my brother's solemnisation ceremony. It's nice for the family to catch up & have fun together again (if Ian is here too, the family puzzle will be completed).

The solemenisation ceremony was successfully completed though there was some minor hiccups along the way.

Will try to upload the photos tomorrow or the day after.

Got to catch my beauty sleep! Need energy to peek tomorrow!

Just kidding lah, need energy to analyse defect causes actually. They knew I have engineering knowledge so they are trying to make me learn as much & as fast as I could to help to take over some burdens from the QA Inspector while actually I'm only an adminstrator!

I'm under paid then, aren't I?

"What families have in common the world around is that they are the place where people learn who they are and how to be that way."~ Jean Illsley Clarke

Today is the company's Eco-day!

I was involved in the tree planting session. It was fun!

The company was generous. Beside giving us free gifts (a recycled paper bag, notebook & a pot of plant), we were entitled to free lunch as well.

The company has more than 500 employees!!!

It is really different working in MNC compared to a local company which I used to work.

Oh... by the way, the woman (see previous post) treated me extremely nice these two days! She took me to take my uniforms, helped me to get my laptop (which I can bring it home too!) & network setup, taught me how to do my work, brought me for lunch, introduced me to new colleagues etc.

I guess....

I misunderstood her in the first place! :p

She's a nice woman actually. :p cos she really helped me a lot when I was trying to settle down in a new environment.

It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on earth, and if we can teach our children to honour nature's gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever. ~ Jimmy Carter

Got myself a temporary job as a Claims Administrator.

It doesn't pay a lot but it has a very flexible notice period.

The Assistant HR manager knew I'm still looking for a permanent position so she allows me to quit with a minimum of 2-3 days notice period.

I went for the interview & briefing on Friday & I like the cafeteria where I can get my lunch for $1 & packet drink for $0.20 only!!!

It's really great that I can earn money without spending too much for my meal. ^^

When I was about to leave after my briefing was over, a woman asked me whether I knew my way back to the reception to give back my visitor pass. I thought I could still roughly remember the way but she insisted showing the way as she was going for her lunch as well.

In my heart, I thought, "How nice of her!"

I was so WRONG!!!

She led me to the entrance of the cafeteria & asked me to pass through another building to get to the reception. I trusted her, thinking that it might be a shorter route cos I remembered passing through the cafeteria to get to the reception.

When I get to the building, my sixth sense told me something was wrong. So I asked a lady while she walked past me for the direction & she told me that the only route to get to the reception is to pass through the cafeteria as the 2 buildings are not connected!!!

Isn't that woman a bitch?!!!

She obviously knew the route but she purposely misled me!!!

So pissed off even when I'm thinking about it now & I still have to see her tomorrow.

Was told to offer to help her with her work if I'm done with my own stuff, but I guess I WON'T. I decided to do my work VERY slowly tomorrow & helping her is not part of my job anyway!!!

One good news is that she's leaving in a week time. Hurray!!!

No more facing this evil bitch!

No point having a pretty face with an evil heart!!!!

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind."

One of the major activities in our life is constantly making decisions.

Good decisions will lead to happy ending & bad decisions can ruin the whole life from that point on.

The process of decision making is really torturing. It feels like playing tug war internally.

Weighing the pros & cons do help in rational decision making but on the other end there's always another invisible force that just doesn't wish to let go.

No winner yet but it's going to tear my mind apart.

Which side will be the winner of the tug war eventually?

I have yet to know.

Don't you ever wonder maybe if you took a left turn instead of a right you could be someone different?

My relatives were asking me why I haven't get a job yet.

One of the main reasons is I didn't get any reply from the companies which I wanted to work in.

So they asked me to lower my expectations, like getting a lower pay or position to gain experience first.

I don't think I'm requesting an absurd salary. It sounds absolutely reasonable to me. However, if the company is the one I really wanted to enter or the position has good prospect, I don't mind lowering it further.

Really! I'm not choosy. I just don't want to be easy.

I don't want to work because I'm oblige to work. Dragging myself to work doesn't benefit both parties.

The same thing applies to my relationship too.

I don't want to get into a relationship just because everyone has.

It's my lifetime happiness, isn't it?

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise.~ Robert Fritz

Happened to "passby" Walmart's website today.

"Always Low Prices"

How I wish Singapore has Walmart too.

Anyway, I was browsing its items & the baby's corner caught my attention. ^^

Found a few items for Carol as reference & the nearest Walmart store from Carol is only 3.21 miles away! Not that far away huh!

I have chosen three items which I quite like for Baby Jo & they are reasonably priced too.

Each item is not over USD 100 so should be quite affordable huh.

Of course there are more expensive ones if you are willing to pay more.

Ok firstly is the baby crib.

This is simple & nice huh ... 3-in-1 somemore (USD 98.88)

Same as above but in another colour.
This one is slightly more expensive (USD 99.88)
Ha ha only a dollar difference actually.

That's the magic of 3-in-one! Can turn into a toddler's bed.

Can turn into a mini sofa/chair too!!!
So cost saving huh!

Ok... Stroller next!

I kinda like this stroller coz it looks spacious & comfortable. ^^
The price seems ok too. (USD 98.76)

Lastly..... a car seat! (too sleepy to continue to browse anymore*yawn*)

Doesn't this car seat looks so comfy?
Haha The colour looks so sweet too huh!
Of course, it's a cost saving item too!
It can serve from infancy through toddler years. (USD 39.84)

" A baby is an Angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase."

A ghost or a man?

My friends used to ask me whether I'm scare of ghosts whenever I bring my Happie for late night walk.

I don't.

I'm more afraid of meeting man with evil thoughts.

I'm experiencing Home Alone situation tonight & it is so scary coz I keep hearing strange noises in the living room.

I heard human footsteps & sounds of someone turning the door lock. Worst of all, my dog was barking at the main door fiercely just now! He only do that when there's people outside!!!

I immediately locked all my windows in the house & also locked myself in my room!!!

I don't care whether there is thief or whoever in the living room anymore.... Steal whatever you want!!! I'm too scare to go out!

When will dawn arrives?

Ghosts are not that scary anymore huh! Don't you think so?

Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared. ~ Edward Vernon Rickenbacker

Had my convocation last Friday.

It was really nice & fun meeting my classmates again after several months.

The whole convocation was such an invaluable experience.

My classmates & I were always looking forward for this day to come whenever we saw others having their convocation in school.

Finally it was our turn.

That piece of certificate is my hard earned money & efforts for the past 3 years!

Like my sis said, that paper will provides me with opportunities.

I really hope so coz I didn't manage to do very well.

As usual, I always regretted.
